QUALITY TESTING EQUIPMENTS
Brinell, Rockwell and Vickers hardness testing
These hardness testing are used to check the hardness property of the casting.
Testing are conducted following the foundry's quality control plan or following our customers requirements and specifications.

Standards: ASTM E10-14, ASTM E92-82, ASTM E18-15 and ISO 6506-1, ISO 6507-1, ISO 6508-1

Elongation, Tensile & Yield Strength Testing
These three kind of testing are used to check the mechanical properties of the casting.
Testing are conducted following the foundry's quality control plan or following our customers requirements and specifications.

Standards: ASTM E8, E8M, M10 and ISO 6891-1

Pendulum Impact Testing (Charpy impact test)
This is a standardized test which involves fracturing a notched specimen of standard dimension and measuring the amount of energy absorbed to fracture the specimen.
This absorbed energy is a measure of a material toughness or impact strength and acts as a tool to study temperature-dependent ductile-brittle transition.

Standards: ASTM A370, ISO 148 and EN 10045-1
Radiographic Testing (RT)
Radiographic testing is used to obtain an image of castings surface and internal soundness discontinuities.
With this testing, detection of Gas porosity, Sand holes, Shrinkage, Cracks, Cold shuts, Hot tears, Unfused chaplet and Core shift is possible.

Standards: ASTM E1742, E94, E1030, E446 (Steel), E689 (Ductile Iron), E802 (Gray Iron)
Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Ultrasonic testing is made by a transducer applying pulse waves in the material and the time of flight of the ultrasonic waves is measured from the initiation time to the return of the reflection to the transducer.
Any change in acoustic impedance produces ultrasonic reflection or echo. It's used to identify any internal soundness discontinuities.

Standards: ASTM E114, EN 583 and EN 12680-1

Dimension Control (CMM)
On top of various type of calipers, Coordinate Measuring Machine are also used for dimension control.
CMM works on three axes defined as X, Y and Z. By checking numerous number of points on the product, the machine is able to determine the size, position and dimension of the controlled product.
